Adidas Cloudfoam QT Racer Trainers Review Floral Pattern Trainers Brantano

Adidas Cloudfoam QT Racer Trainers from Brantano // Style & Review!

Hi guys!  How are you?  I hope you’re well, and if you’re not then I’m sending hugs your way!  I don’t often share style posts on here, although I post quite a few ‘outfit of the day’ posts over on my Instagram.  But these trainers are so beautiful, I had to show you them!  They are the Adidas Cloudfoam QT Racer trainers, from Brantano.

I was very kindly sent these trainers by Brantano for review purposes, but as always, all opinions are truthful and entirely my own.

The Look

I’ve been wanting a pair of trainers like this for literally over a year!  I love black trainers with a flash of colour or pattern.  Ones which are smart enough to wear with jeans and not look like you’re going for a run (which I very definitely am not…!)  I wear a lot of ballet pumps and a lot of boots, but I wanted something in between the two.  Something waterproof and sturdy, but more suitable for all seasons (boots are usually left behind in the summer months!)  So the Adidas Cloudfoam QT Racer trainers were the perfect fit for me 🙂

I have to admit, it was the pattern that drew me to these.  They could have been any brand, I just loved the pink, purple and blue floral pattern!  Since pink and purple are my favourite colours, I wear a lot of them – so these trainers should go with most of my wardrobe!  I kind of wish they didn’t have the black stripes (they are a kind of rubberised finish), but that’s what you get with Adidas trainers.

I’ve worn these with leggings and a dress (as you can see!) and also with black jeans so far.  I liked them with both 🙂

The Shape

The first thing that struck me is how light they are – they are literally like picking up a feather!  They’d be amazing for taking on holiday as they’d take up so little of your luggage weight allowance.  They are a nice, streamlined shape with a fairly narrow toe.  The soles are white and really thick and bouncy.

The Feel

Oh my days!  These trainers feel like walking on clouds – seriously!  They are so soft, light and bouncy.  Not that I can run any more, but I imagine they would be great for running in – super light.

They are more narrow at the toe end than any trainers I’ve worn before.  It makes them look less clumpy, but you can feel the tightness around your toes.  It is not uncomfortable, just something I was aware of.  You can adjust the laces to give you a bit more width around the sides too.

Where to Find Them

My trainers were from the Womens Shoes section of the Brantano website here (although they may have them in store too, depending on stock).  They cost £48 – although I think Brantano currently have 20% off.

Outfit and Makeup of the Day // Unicorns, Checked Shirt and Rose Gold Eyes!

Hello guys, hope you’re well!

This is a look I did a few weeks before you’ll be reading this post.  I’m sort of starting to accept Autumn but still holding on with some bright pinks too!  Firstly, how cute is this unicorn hair bow from Prairie Charms?  It was part of their recent unicorn-themed mystery bag (which I may blog about soon if anyone wants to see it?)

I am obsessed with everything rose gold at the moment, and have been for a while now!  It’s just such a beautiful colour to me.  I decided to try a bit of a rose gold eye using my new W7 In The Nude palette (which was a bargain from Groupon).

After putting on my base of Rimmel Matte BB Cream (so easy to use!), Nars Creamy Concealer under the eyes, powder, Benefit Hervana Blush and Elf Pinktastic blush (but used as a highlighter), I moved onto a rose gold smoked out eye.

I took a matte mauvey-brown through the crease and smoked out the outer edges a little (apparently this type of look is called a glamour eye – only just found this out!)  I blended lots and then added the very pale, sparkly pink into the inner corners of my eyes.  Finally, I packed the gorgeous rose gold shade from the palette onto my mobile lids.

I lined under my eyes with a darker brown shadow and blended that out with my beloved Mac 217 brush.  Finally, I dabbed a bit of Dior Addict Fluid Shadow in 825 Aurora over the rose gold shadow, for some intense foiled shimmer.  I finished off the eyes with a coat each of Primark Volumising and False Lash mascaras.

On my lips, I used a ColourPop Lippie Stix in Rocket, and then patted a little of the rose gold shadow over it, to give it a golden shimmer!

Outfit of the day was Primark high-waisted skinny jeans, New Look leopard print trainers, checked shirt with a black vest top underneath and my beloved amethyst triangle necklace from Stag & Raven.

What makeup have you been wearing recently?  Do you like rose gold as much as I do?  Let me know in the comments!

Summer is Over: Pink Lips, Gold Accessories and Pale Skin (OOTD // Makeup)!

At the beginning of the summer, I took these photos with the intention of sharing them on here.  And then totally forgot… 5 months later and here we are!

When summer was starting, I was feeling the light, subtle wash of eyeshadow; bold pink lips and pretty gold accessories.  Oh and a touch of Mean Girls, but that’s good for any season!  All of that feels like just a dream on this dreary October day.  Let’s relive the memories, and remember the sun for just a moment!

Outfit of the Day (OOTD): Floral Trousers, Coral Shoes and Big Lashes!

Hey guys

I’m back with an Outfit of the Day.  You know I like to take advantage of the fairly rare occasions I get dressed in something other than my pyjamas!

For hair, I just put in small French plaits either side to keep the hair off my face.  I pinned them back with kirby grips (as you can tell – I didn’t realise they were so visible until I took this photo!)

L’Oreal Pro Matte foundation and powder (these are amazing – I highly recommend both!  They are fantastic at keeping oily/combination skin matte for hours).

Benefit Hervana blush; Maybelline Master Sculpt contour powder; Bourjois Aqua Lacque lip gloss; clear brow gel.

For the eyes, I used MUA shadow in Bronze; Freedom shadow in Nude 206; Freedom shadow in Gilded 218 and Makeup Revolution Pure Pigments in Confront.  Black eyeliner; Primark Volumising Mascara and Primark False Lash Mascara, and Primark ‘Sultry’ false lashes.

Outfit of the Day (OOTD): Kimono, Flower Crown & Pink Lips!

Hi guys

As I’ve mentioned before, I don’t get to leave the house on a regular basis as I am chronically ill.  This means that on the occasions where I do leave the house (which is sadly mostly appointments haha!), I like to photograph my outfit of the day for the blog.  I’ve got to take the chances when I can get them.  I get very excited about wearing ‘real clothes’ as opposed to PJs!

Outfit of the Day (OOTD): Hellbunny Dress – Unicorns, Skulls & Cupcakes Galore!

I had to share this outfit with you – one of my best friends bought me this dress recently, as a 30th birthday present.  She said she couldn’t imagine a dress ever being more ‘me’ – and I can see why!  It is pink, with cupcakes, skulls and unicorns – perfection in a dress.

The Outtakes….!

I had to share this one as I look so annoyed haha.  This was when my husband immediately started taking photos whilst I was still adjusting my straps!

What do you think of the dress?  Would you wear a unicorn dress at 30?  Why not, I say!  Let me know in the comments box or follow me on social media.

OOTD (Outfit of the Day) – Floral, Bows, Flamingos & Pink Lips!

Hi everyone!

This outfit of the day is from quite a long time ago, when the first signs of spring started to show.  As you will probably know, I have a chronic illness and spend most of my time in my PJs in bed!  So on the odd occasion I’m well enough to get up and dressed, I like to make the most of it.
