[Umm – hey! Soooo it looks like I wrote this and then never posted it, for some reason. I have no idea why, and it was about 2 months ago, oops! But thought I’d post it anyway]. Hi guys! In a return to my usual schedule, I’m back to bright summer nails… Just had a little neutral-nails break there for a minute! I think I might have shown this nail polish on the blog before. I wear it a lot as it’s one of my favourite shades, but also it’s really long-lasting. Introducing… Soigne Petale De Rose!
Hola mi amigos! Welcome back to the blog 🙂 If you’re a regular reader, you’ll know I love trying lots of different nail polish brands, finishes and colours. I’m pretty much a nail polish addict! When I set my eyes on Tanya Burr Duvet Day, I immediately knew I HAD to have it! It’s one of the most beautiful coloured polishes I’ve ever seen.
It’s hard to describe, but the colour is sort of a gentle blue-grey. It is muted but still so pretty. This shade is so on-trend at the moment, but it’s also quite classic and could be worn to work.
Hey guys! Another week, another nails of the day post 🙂 I like sharing my nails with you as it forces me to experiment and be a bit more creative. It’s all too easy to fall back on the same old favourites otherwise! Bear in mind that my nail art is never going to be amazing, as I have really shaky hands from my M.E. But I still have fun doing them, so I don’t mind if you don’t? I decided to try a bit of summery flower nail art today!
Happy Friday guys! It’s been a little while since my last nails of the day post, so it seemed like time! My nails have been a bit of a state recently – they’re really weak and keep peeling and breaking. I’ve been trying to paint them less and use some nail oil to try and get them sorted out. But sometimes you just need pretty nails, so I went ahead and painted them recently with this gorgeous neutral shade from the Barry M Sunset Nails range!
I’ve been wearing a LOT of pastels and bright colours since spring/summer started, so it felt like time for a little change. Cue Barry M Sunset Nails in Dark Side of The Shroom (yep, the Sunset Nails range all have rather amusing names)!
Hellooooo! How are you keeping? It’s Friday! Hope you all have a lovely weekend. I’ve got another gorgeous springtime nail polish to share with you! This is Essie’s ‘Virgin Snow’ (although I’d personally be a bit worried if newly laid snow was pale lilac…. but nevermind!) I’m really enjoying my pale, pastel colours at the moment; a bit of a change for me as I definitely opt for bright, bold colours most of the time!
Isn’t ‘Virgin Snow’ a pretty, delicate shade? This is one of Essie’s mini polishes, from a previous set, but it is available to buy as a full sized one. As with most Essie nail polishes, it is pretty opaque within the first coat, but definitely needed a second coat to even out any brush-stroke lines. It has a nice consistency, bordering on being quite thick but not so much that it’s difficult to apply. I always use a top coat with my nail varnish to try and persuade it to last a bit longer (!) but this leaves a lovely, glossy finish so looks fine without, if you prefer not to use one.
Hey guys! I’ve been really enjoying pretty, pastel nails recently. Along with the sun which has been finally showing its face in England, they’re making me feel very spring/summery! I got these mini 4ml Nails Inc polishes from Love Me Beauty. You may remember I used to subscribe to their beauty boxes – I don’t anymore, but I do keep an eye out to see if they have anything exciting, and occasionally buy a one-off box.
I hope you’re all okay, and my UK readers are enjoying the sunshine we’re getting! I’ve got a few longer posts in the making, but I’ve had a lot of medical appointments this week so unfortunately today’s post is a shorter one.
The sunny UK weather has inspired this nails of the day, in these gorgeous pastel ice-cream inspired colours!
I used my usual Nails Inc Kensington Caviar base coat. I then used two coats of Barry M Fondant on all but my ring fingers. On my ring fingers, I used two coats of MUA Pistachio Ice Cream. I topped all my nails with a coat of Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat. They’re a bit messy round the edges, as I was in a rush before a hospital appointment, sorry!!
I absolutely love these two pretty pastel shades – they are perfect for Spring! Both polishes have a lovely, creamy consistency and are opaque in two coats. From past experience, the MUA one doesn’t last too well before chipping, which is why I used that one on the ring fingers instead of the majority of nails.
Too much exposure on this photo – oops, sorry! What do you think of my ice-cream themed nails? Are you craving a mint choc chip or strawberry ice cream? 😀
