Glossybox October 2016 // Unboxing

Hi guys!  I’m sorry this is SO late!!  I mean it’s basically the last day of the month and I’m finally showing you the October 2016 Glossybox!  As you may have noticed, I’m not posting as regularly lately.

As you probably know, I have chronic illnesses (if you don’t, this will fill you in!)  I often simply don’t feel well enough to take photographs, edit or write a post.  It’s frustrating as I have so many things I’m dying to share with you, but there’s nothing I can do.  Sadly, my health has to come first.

As you’ve probably already seen the October Glossybox around, I’m not going to go into much detail.  I’ll just show you what I got, and tell you if anything particularly impressed me!

Glossybox August 2016 Review and Unboxing Rae Feather 5th Birthday

Glossybox August 2016 // Unboxing and Review!

Hey guys!  How are you?  Hope you’re well!  It’s time for the Glossybox August unboxing.  If you’re a regular reader, you’ll know that I’m not super fussy.  I generally really enjoy my beauty boxes and I’m not that hard to please.  Saying that…!  This month’s boxes were really not that great.  My You Beauty one was the worst this month, but the Glossybox wasn’t great either.

Rae Feather

Apparently Glossybox are five years old this month.  I’m surprised they didn’t make more of the birthday theme – instead they focused on fashion label Rae Feather.  I hadn’t heard of this brand before, but apparently they are a British brand launched in late 2013.   They aim to provide good quality, affordable luxury fashion.

As one of our five items in the Glossybox August 2016, we received a Rae Feather ‘pochette’.  What the h*ll is a pochette I hear you ask?  Apparently it’s basically a small canvas zipped bag, with the Glossybox initials monogrammed on the front.  It’s lined to make it splash-proof.

Glossybox // January 2016 *Starter Kit* // Review and Unboxing!

Hey guys

It felt so strange writing 2016 in the title!  I hope your new year is going well so far.  As you might have read in a few previous posts, I’m cutting down on beauty boxes a little bit for monetary reasons.  Sadly, being a spoonie who can’t work isn’t very profitable, haha!  I have cancelled The Vegan Kind beauty box (but would still highly recommend it to others) and Lip Monthly for now.

Glossbox Starter Kit – January 2016

Luckily for me, my husband got me a six month subscription to Glossybox for Christmas!  I used to subscribe to it before I blogged but cancelled it at some point, probably again to save money.  But I always really enjoyed it, so I’m really happy to be getting it again.

Here’s what came in my first box, which I assumed was the January 2016 box, but after receiving another box it turns out this one is actually my starter kit (which I had no idea I was getting – bonus!)  Sorry for any confusion my initial post caused.

If you’re not a regular reader, I’ll quickly go over how Glossybox works.  It’s a monthly beauty subscription box, so you sign up for 3, 6 or 12 months to get one box per month.  The box will include five samples/products – they are always a surprise, as you don’t choose what you receive.  The box costs £13.25 per month for the month-to-month plan, but can be as little as £11.75 if you are willing to commit for a whole year.  If you decide to sign up, you can use this link which will help me collect points but there is absolutely no pressure to use it.  If you would prefer not to, simply google Glossybox and sign up there!
