Adidas Cloudfoam QT Racer Trainers Review Floral Pattern Trainers Brantano

Adidas Cloudfoam QT Racer Trainers from Brantano // Style & Review!

Hi guys!  How are you?  I hope you’re well, and if you’re not then I’m sending hugs your way!  I don’t often share style posts on here, although I post quite a few ‘outfit of the day’ posts over on my Instagram.  But these trainers are so beautiful, I had to show you them!  They are the Adidas Cloudfoam QT Racer trainers, from Brantano.

I was very kindly sent these trainers by Brantano for review purposes, but as always, all opinions are truthful and entirely my own.

The Look

I’ve been wanting a pair of trainers like this for literally over a year!  I love black trainers with a flash of colour or pattern.  Ones which are smart enough to wear with jeans and not look like you’re going for a run (which I very definitely am not…!)  I wear a lot of ballet pumps and a lot of boots, but I wanted something in between the two.  Something waterproof and sturdy, but more suitable for all seasons (boots are usually left behind in the summer months!)  So the Adidas Cloudfoam QT Racer trainers were the perfect fit for me 🙂

I have to admit, it was the pattern that drew me to these.  They could have been any brand, I just loved the pink, purple and blue floral pattern!  Since pink and purple are my favourite colours, I wear a lot of them – so these trainers should go with most of my wardrobe!  I kind of wish they didn’t have the black stripes (they are a kind of rubberised finish), but that’s what you get with Adidas trainers.

I’ve worn these with leggings and a dress (as you can see!) and also with black jeans so far.  I liked them with both 🙂

The Shape

The first thing that struck me is how light they are – they are literally like picking up a feather!  They’d be amazing for taking on holiday as they’d take up so little of your luggage weight allowance.  They are a nice, streamlined shape with a fairly narrow toe.  The soles are white and really thick and bouncy.

The Feel

Oh my days!  These trainers feel like walking on clouds – seriously!  They are so soft, light and bouncy.  Not that I can run any more, but I imagine they would be great for running in – super light.

They are more narrow at the toe end than any trainers I’ve worn before.  It makes them look less clumpy, but you can feel the tightness around your toes.  It is not uncomfortable, just something I was aware of.  You can adjust the laces to give you a bit more width around the sides too.

Where to Find Them

My trainers were from the Womens Shoes section of the Brantano website here (although they may have them in store too, depending on stock).  They cost £48 – although I think Brantano currently have 20% off.

Debenhams Debut // Rose Glitter Court Shoes!

Hi peeps!

This is going to be a super short blog post, but I really want to share these beauties with you!  My mum-in-law very kindly bought me some dresses and these shoes for various upcoming family events (a wedding etc).  A couple of the dresses are pink with floral patterns, so I ordered some lovely Babycham printed kitten heels which went nicely with them.  Sadly when they arrived, the 6 was too small and the 7 too large so I had to go on the hunt for something else.  That’s when these sparklers showed up on the Debenhams website!

Now I am terrible with heels!  I’m not that steady on them and I don’t like my feet hurting on top of everything else that hurts with my fibromyalgia.  However these are just so beautiful that I thought I’d order them and see what they felt like.  They are on the smaller side, but not too tight.  Strangely, they feel really secure and comfortable to walk in.  They have a small platform at the front, which makes the 3.5in heel feel smaller.  As I can’t stand for long or walk far anyway (due to ME), I will mostly be sitting down, so my feet may as well look pretty whilst I’m doing it, hehe!

Aren’t they just beautiful?  You can still find them here, if you love them as much as I do!

Nails of the Day (NOTD) // Lottie London – Go On // Grurple and Gold!

Hi guys!

Are you feeling autumnal yet?  Or just already fed up of the cold and rain?  Well I’m really not a fan of the colder months, but like a lot of people, I feel obliged to start wearing darker, more muted colours.  So I’ve put my pinks and corals away (for now…I can’t guarantee they’ll stay there until spring though!) and instead I’ve cracked out my greys, blacks and berry shades.

This beautiful nail polish from new-ish brand Lottie London is a perfect combination of dusty purple mixed with just the right amount of grey.  I teamed it with some gold triangle STYLondon metallic temporary tattoos on my ring-finger nails.

Lottie London, who launched earlier this year, have a range of beauty items aimed to help you get ‘selfie ready’!  Their products include nail polishes (around 60 colours) and tools, makeup brushes, lip balm, makeup bags and metallic tattoos.  They are apparently aimed at girls aged 14 – 24… now sadly I’m well out of that target age group but I still really like the look of most of their products.  Maybe wearing this nail polish will help me look 6 years younger?!

The polish applies really nicely.  I used it over one coat of Sally Hansen nail thickener (which I’m not sure I will repurchase, it’s really hard to remove!)  This shade was opaque after just one coat (see first photo above without the gold accent nail).  I applied two coats anyway, out of habit.  I added the gold triangle tattoos to both ring fingers once tacky, and then topped it with Sally Hansen Mega Shine topcoat.

I absolutely love the colour and texture of this polish and also really like the design and font on the bottle.  The downside?  It lasted less than 24 hours before it chipped quite badly!  Now I know this wasn’t due to the topcoat, as I’ve used it on lots of different polishes and it’s usually fine.  I repaired the chips and topcoated again the next day but it wasn’t to be.  I had to give in and remove it after 2 days of wear.  I will try the varnish again with a different topcoat in future (just because I like the colour so much), but I’m a little disappointed so far.

I have another Lottie London polish (Blogger Girl) which I haven’t tried yet, so I’ll let you know how that one lasts when I give it a go!

You can find Lottie London on sale in Superdrug stores, Superdrug online and at Asos.

Have you tried anything by Lottie London?  What did you think of it?  Are you a fan of grurple?  Let me know in the comments, or on social media!

Fashion // Yumi Clothing Haul and Review!

Happy Sunday guys – I hope you’re having a great weekend!  I’m going to show you some clothes from a brand called Yumi today.  I had never heard of them until my husband received an email saying he had won a competition to receive £95 worth of clothing from them.  This is perfect timing as I don’t really have any spare money to spend on clothes at the moment, so it was very gratefully received!  If you’re wondering, they only do women’s clothing, which is why I was the lucky recipient!

I did a bit of research and it seems that Yumi don’t have physical shops, but their products can be bought at their own website, or also on Asos, House of Fraser and Debenhams’ websites.  They sell clothing, shoes, bags and purses, jewellery and childrens’ clothing for girls.  Their prices are a bit higher than I would usually pay, but that’s just me, as I tend to shop at cheaper places like Primark, H&M and New Look!  Some of the dresses are fairly reasonable, at around £30, but some are closer to £60/£70 which I personally think is quite a lot for a casual day dress.

L’Oreal Pro Matte foundation and powder (these are amazing – I highly recommend both!  They are fantastic at keeping oily/combination skin matte for hours).

Benefit Hervana blush; Maybelline Master Sculpt contour powder; Bourjois Aqua Lacque lip gloss; clear brow gel.

For the eyes, I used MUA shadow in Bronze; Freedom shadow in Nude 206; Freedom shadow in Gilded 218 and Makeup Revolution Pure Pigments in Confront.  Black eyeliner; Primark Volumising Mascara and Primark False Lash Mascara, and Primark ‘Sultry’ false lashes.

I had to share this one as I look so annoyed haha.  This was when my husband immediately started taking photos whilst I was still adjusting my straps!

What do you think of the dress?  Would you wear a unicorn dress at 30?  Why not, I say!  Let me know in the comments box or follow me on social media.

Outfit of the Day (OOTD)

I went to Distrikt for my hubby’s birthday on the bank holiday Friday (see my post reviewing their tasty tapas!)  This is my OOTD for that day.  As always, definitely no fashionista over here, I’m just sharing my real life with you, random outfits and all.

I wore my “super high-waisted” black skinny jeans from Primark, a black vest top with two grey skulls on it (an Ebay buy, bought new but can’t remember where from) and my trusty black New Look jersey cardie (two of my friends have the same one and we always end up wearing it at the same time!).  If you like high-waisted jeans, I would recommend these Primarni ones, they are so comfy!!  I also wore my flat leopard print loafers with a gold bar across the front – they are from George but I bought them off a friend who is “selling her life” to move to the Seychelles; lucky her!

I accessorised with a gold chain, black cord and pearl collar necklace given to me by a friend.  I love this necklace, as it’s such a statement piece!  As it’s chilly here in England, I added my aubergine belted coat (another charity shop find and an absolute bargain – nearly new for just £12!).  I also cosied up in my aubergine Debenhams scarf and carried my George neon orange satchel.

Makeup was Estee Lauder DoubleWear Light foundation (a 10 use sample – I’m now addicted and need to own this!), MUA loose powder, No7 Damson blush, bronzer to contour, MUR gold highlighter, Eyeko eyeliner and both of my Primark mascaras (a layer of each).  My eyeshadow was from my HUGE E.L.F palette (more info to come soon)!  I did a base layer of Maybelline Pink Gold Color Tattoo, followed by a bronzey-gold shadow.  I took a coppery-red shadow up into and just above the crease to give a sort of sunrise effect!  It looked great in person but doesn’t convey that well in photos.  I finished off with a coat of nude Boe Beauty (Aussie brand) lipgloss.
