Mascara Match // Benefit Bad Gal v Primark Volumising Ultra Black // Can Budget Beat High-End?

Hey guys!  You may remember one of my much older posts, Foundation Fight, where I pitched several different foundations against each other (excuse the crap photos, I’d only been blogging two months then!)  Well, I’ve been meaning to write a similar post for ages now, but this time about mascara.  Here comes….dun dun dunnnn…. Mascara Match!!  Today I’m pitting Primark Volumising Ultra Black against Benefit Bad Gal Lash!

I’ve thought to myself so many times that people need to know how great Primark mascaras are!  They’ve been really upping their game with makeup recently, but two of the mascaras I love have been around for a few years.  I’ve been so impressed with them that I buy them over and over.  Another huge contender, and cult mascara-maker, is Benefit – who hasn’t heard of Bad Gal, They’re Real or Rollerlash?  Nobody, that’s who!

I was originally going to write about six mascaras in this one post, but it got a lil out of hand and long!  So I’ve broken it into three parts – the next two will be coming shortly, so stay tuned! [Part 2 is here!]

Some Exciting News Dr Botanicals Brand Ambassador Cruelty Free Vegan Skincare UK

Some Exciting News!

Hi guys! I’ve been wanting to write this post for a week now but as ever, Mistress M.E and her pal Sir Fibromyalgia had other plans… I have some exciting news to share!  If you’re a regular reader then a) you’re amazing, thanks 😀 and b) you might remember this post about Dr Botanicals.  They are a UK company making high quality, cruelty free skincare.  I tried a couple of their products and loved them!

“What does this have to do with anything?”, I hear you ask!  (OK, I don’t hear you, but I have an active imagination so I’m picturing it)!  Well Dr Botanicals have asked me to be a brand ambassador for them for 2017, which I’ve very happily accepted!

My first three months of Pregabalin Lyrica Experiences Side Effects Facial Hair Growth

My first 3 Months of Pregabalin & Turning Into a Gorilla!

Hi guys!  How are you?  Let me know in the comments, I want to know! 🙂  I thought it might be interesting to blog about my first three months of taking Pregabalin.  I know it can be helpful for those deciding whether to take it, to read others’ experiences.  In my experience, the side effects they tell you about officially aren’t necessarily the only ones.  Actually talking to other people who take it, there are so many common side effects not even listed!

By the way, I’m in the UK but if you’re reading from another country, Pregabalin may also be called Lyrica.

What is Pregabalin?

I started taking Pregabalin in mid-June this year.  I was prescribed it by my pain clinic, to help with my chronic pain (caused by ME and fibromyalgia).  Pregabalin was actually initially intended to treat certain types of seizures in people with epilepsy.  I believe it is still  used for that, but is also now approved to treat pain.

Chronic Illness // 5 Common Misconceptions // Expectations vs Reality!

Hey guys! How are you?  I hope you’re well.  And for my spoonie friends, I hope you’re as well as you can be given the circumstances!  When I initially had the idea for this post, it was going to be quite serious.  I wanted to rant about how people don’t understand chronic illness, and those who romanticise about ‘how nice it must be’ to stay in bed all day.

But now that I’ve thought about it a bit, I don’t really want this to be negative.  Instead, I’m going to take a light-hearted look at expectations vs reality when it comes to chronic illness! Chronic Illness expectations vs reality common chronic illness misconceptions Continue reading

Resmed S+ Sleep Sensor Monitor Non Contact

Resmed S+ Sleep Sensor // Help Monitor & Improve Your Sleep // Review

Hey guys!  I’m looking forward to telling you about this sleep monitoring product… I have been quietly testing it out and thoroughly putting it through its paces behind the scenes for a while now!  The S+ Sleep Sensor * is a device by ResMed, which is designed to help your sleep in a number of ways.  I think I’m probably the perfect candidate for this, as I sleep quite badly nowadays.  I used to sleep really well before I got ill. Ever since I have had ME and fibro, I take a long time to get to sleep due to pain (often still awake at 5am) and find it very difficulty to get good quality sleep.  When you already have ‘chronic fatigue’, this is the final straw!

We Are Tea - Simplicitea Infuser & Earl Grey Supreme Loose Leaf Tea

We Are Tea // Simplicitea Loose Leaf Infuser // Review!

Hi guys If you don’t know this already, I’m English.  Being English usually means two things…

  1. Is from England.
  2. Loves drinking tea.

Ok, so I’m sure there are some Brits out there who don’t like tea, but we’re pretty famed for quaffing our cuppas.  If anyone is ever poorly, upset or has just had a bad day, us English people truly believe ‘a nice cup of tea’ will solve it!  I drink lots of different kinds – fruit, green, (although only flavoured ones, I can’t deal with plain green tea!), herbal, ‘builders’ but my absolute favourite is Earl Grey.  Earl Grey is my ‘normal’ drink that I reach for daily.  If you haven’t tried Earl Grey, it’s a black tea with flavours of bergamot.  You can drink it with milk or black with a slice of lemon (I like both but usually drink mine with a dash of soya milk).
