Hola! How are you? I hope you’re well and enjoying February – the month of love! Whether that’s romantic love, or just learning to love yourself, I hope February is a great one for you. If you read this post, you’ll know that I have just become a Brand Ambassador for Dr Botanicals! I’ve had such a lovely response to the news, so thank you very much 🙂 So this is my first review as a Brand Ambassador – and it starts with the gorgeous Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose & Shea Butter Body Repairing Cream!
Love Your Body This Valentines
You may remember this post, where I reviewed two other products from the Moroccan Rose line. I absolutely loved them, and am still using up the last bits of those two products now! They really do go a long way. I was excited to try something else from the Moroccan Rose range, as I love the scent.
Dr Botanicals chose this product for February as their theme for the month is “Love your body this Valentines”. I suppose as a gift (to a loved one, or yourself), it’ll last longer than actual roses!
Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose & Shea Butter Body Repairing Cream: The Packaging
As with all their products, the Moroccan Rose & Shea Butter Body Repairing Cream comes in brown secondary packaging which has lots of useful information on it. The jar itself is lovely quality; made of glass with simple monochrome labelling. Dr Botanicals overall look is very simple, understated and classy, which suits them as a luxury skincare brand. You get 100ml of product, which I have to admit I initially thought was a bit small for a body product. After using it though, I realised that a little really does go a long way. I think this amount will last me a decent amount of time!
The scent has a touch of the fragrance I loved so much in these products, but is definitely different. It is definitely rose scented but with a touch of something a bit exotic and spicy! It’s so hard to describe scent isn’t it?
The main active ingredients in Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose & Shea Butter Body Repairing Cream are:
1) Moroccan Rose Oil – rich in Omegas 3 and 6 which aim to firm and hydrate the skin.
2) Shea Butter – contains high levels of Vitamins A, F and E which aim to protect, soothe and rejuvenate the skin, leaving it soft and hydrated.
3) Apricot Kernel Oil – a fantastic source of Vitamins A and E, rich in essential fatty acids, which aim to deeply moisturise and nourish the skin.
4) Ximenia Seed Oil – soothes and nourishes dry, sensitive and chapped skin.
I love that Dr Botanicals’ products are made only of natural ingredients. All the products are paraben and harmful-preservative free. It’s lovely to know that what you’re putting on your skin is safe and natural! Most importantly, they are also cruelty-free and are registered with PETA.
I absolutely love this body cream! I would go as far as to say it’s probably my favourite body cream I’ve ever tried – and that’s a pretty big claim! I’m not just saying this – although I’ve become a Dr Botanicals Brand Ambassador, my reviews will still be unbiased and truthful.
The formula is my favourite aspect. I’ve got a pet hate for body lotions that leave your skin with an oily layer. You know the type – where you put your clothes on after and they stick to your skin! This cream sinks in so quickly, and your skin has literally no sticky residue left on it. It left my skin matte, but so soft and nourished.
The scent also lasts pretty well on the skin. I kept sniffing my arm every hour or so after applying (the things I do for blogging…!) and the scent lasted a decent 5 or 6 hours.
The Moroccan Rose & Shea Butter Body Repairing Cream is a big YES in my books! You can find it here. Have you tried it? If you have, or you buy it after reading this, please let me know in the comments what you think of it! 🙂
