Hey guys! Just a quick post to share with you what a lovely time I had on Sunday, at Pastille Leeds. To celebrate their third birthday, they threw a Bloggers Tea Party! With cake, nails, jewellery and dresses, it was pretty much my ideal way to spend a Sunday afternoon!I was SO glad I was well enough to pop along, as I’ve actually been going to Pastille since they very first opened! As I lived a few doors down from the Granary Wharf nail bar, it used to be my ‘local’. Back when I was well enough to work, I used to go there regularly to get my gel nails done 😀 I would highly recommend Pastille for nails, as they have some really talented staff. Liv, in particular, is amazing at nail art. Check out her Instagram, it’s insane!
Pastille Leeds invited a few local small businesses along to share the day. There were stunning dresses from Borrowed Couture, handmade jewellery by Handmade Sweet Designs, and delicious cakes from Sugar Crush. The girl who owns Sugar Crush was so sweet (just like her cakes, haha!) We had a really nice chat, whilst I tried her amazing baking! There was white chocolate rocky road, mint brownies, mini scones with lemon curd and much more. She does weddings, baby showers and has recently started doing tea parties, so definitely look her up! I treated myself to a pendant from Handmade Sweet Designs. Christina was also really lovely. She makes all the jewellery by hand, using nail polish sealed within them to give different colour and glitter effects. I was torn between several but eventually went for a gorgeous moonstone-blue pendant with a colour-shifting shimmer.
She was also offering a ring to match the manicures we had that day, which is such a cool idea! She would literally take the polish you’d used for your nails and make up a ring right there, in 20 minutes.
The ManisWe were all very generously offered dash manis, which I took gratefully as my nails were a bit chipped! I chose this gorgeous pale lilac/blue from OPI. It was so pretty that Tina from teaisfortina changed her choice and had the same! Talking of Tina, check out her fab blog for lots of reviews, food, and straight-talking. She’s awesome!
I also got chance to chat to some of my fellow bloggers – it was great to see Jamie and Luke again. They were both very good sports and agreed to get their nails painted! I also met Charlotte from Crunch Corner and had a good natter!
Pastille owners Abra and Erene did such a great job putting on this event and I had a really lovely time. I know they’re passionate about supporting small local businesses and also championing women in business. They have done so well themselves, starting Pastille from scratch and building it into such a thriving place! If you’re reading this guys, thank you!
Have you ever been to Pastille Leeds? Have all these cake pictures made you hungry? 😀 Let me know in the comments!
