Happy Sunday guys – I hope you’re having a great weekend! I’m going to show you some clothes from a brand called Yumi today. I had never heard of them until my husband received an email saying he had won a competition to receive £95 worth of clothing from them. This is perfect timing as I don’t really have any spare money to spend on clothes at the moment, so it was very gratefully received! If you’re wondering, they only do women’s clothing, which is why I was the lucky recipient!
I did a bit of research and it seems that Yumi don’t have physical shops, but their products can be bought at their own website, or also on Asos, House of Fraser and Debenhams’ websites. They sell clothing, shoes, bags and purses, jewellery and childrens’ clothing for girls. Their prices are a bit higher than I would usually pay, but that’s just me, as I tend to shop at cheaper places like Primark, H&M and New Look! Some of the dresses are fairly reasonable, at around £30, but some are closer to £60/£70 which I personally think is quite a lot for a casual day dress.
I chose everything I got from the sale section, to get the most for my £95 prize money. Here’s what I got!
These black, faux-croc, knee high riding boots were down from £35 to £31.50, which is a pretty good price for a pair of boots. They are really nicely made and seem good quality. They have a low block heel, making them easy to wear on a daily basis. The zips and buckles are all in gold. They zip up on the inner side of the leg and are a really good fit for me. You can still find them here.
This is a navy day dress with cap sleeves and a beautiful hummingbird print. I love this dress! It’s fitted at the waist and floaty over the lower body, with a tie around the waist too. I like this shape of dress, as they are more flattering to my figure than fitted dresses. This one is no longer available on the website, but it was around £30 (on sale, but I can’t remember the original price).
This lace tunic dress is a beautiful deep blue colour (not as bright as it appears in the above photo). It is still on the site for £35 but was £30 when I chose it. It is a similar style to the last dress, with little cap sleeves and a tie at the waist. It has an inner slip and then the outer layer is a lace material. It’s really comfortable and can be dressed up or down. I will be wearing to a wedding reception I’m going to shortly. You can still find it here.
Overall, I really love everything I chose from Yumi. Especially since it was all free! We never win competitions, so it was really exciting to finally win something! I will definitely get a lot of use out of everything I chose.
My experience was that some of the ranges fit smaller than usual, and some fit perfectly. They do have a really good size guide, with measurements for each ‘section’ of the range, to help you decide what size to get. I would consider shopping there in future, but probably just from the sale section, as I like a good bargain!
