Hola! I’m back with more beauty box unboxing – this time it’s the You Beauty September 2016 box! This month’s theme is The Editor’s Picks. Everything in the You Beauty September 2016 box has been hand picked by Sue Peart, Editor of You Magazine. Apparently all the products have proved themselves to the You Beauty team, and to fellow beauty insiders.
Let’s be honest, it’s got to be better than last month’s box…!
You Beauty September 2016 – Contents
Yay, a sheet mask! I love sheet masks. I’ve never heard of this brand, but the mask sounds lovely. It aims to help improve skin elasticity and also contains argan oil to neutralise free radical damage. Grapefruit extract fills out fine lines and plumps skin. This was my first chosen item.
My first bonus item was this Propercorn popcorn. I’ve had their popcorn loads of times, I’m a big fan of it. They do some lovely flavours – the coconut & vanilla one is amazing! I’ll definitely be enjoying this soon 🙂 I quite like getting something random that isn’t a beauty item, every so often.
This was my second chosen item. I have a few different Sally Hansen products, they’re always great for nail stuff. This is a quick-dry, chip resistant top coat. It contains acrylic polymers to harden and dry any nail colour to the touch in seconds! That sounds great – we all know the pain of smudging a nail as soon as you try to do anything after painting them!
You simply wait two minutes after your nail polish, apply one coat, and your mani will be touch dry in 30 seconds! I need to re-do my nails soon, so I’ll get back to you about how well it works.
We got 3 bonus products this month, instead of the usual two. As two of them are very small, I think that’s why. Another brand I haven’t heard of – I’m discovering lots of new brands this month, which is good! This is a fast-absorbing gel which gives your skin a boost of hydration. It also contains hyaluronic acid (which skin loves!) and vit B5.
This product isn’t really categorised as a moisturiser or serum etc. I guess it’s a whole new category! It should be used after cleansing, before your usual day or night moisturiser (I guess when you’d usually use a serum).
This is the last bonus item (as I said, there are three as two are very small – just sachets). Nanoblur promises flawless skin in seconds… I hope so because I could do with that at the moment! It is a blurring optical cream, which instantly softens fine lines, mattifies skin, and diminishes pores. Apparently it’s great to wear under makeup, but you can wear it on it’s own, if your skin needs a confidence boost.
They call this an airbrush effect in a bottle (or sachet, in our case)! Let’s hope it really is.

Overall, this month’s box was much better than August’s (although that’s not hard, haha)! I like that it contained three brands that were completely new to me. It was also a great mix of skincare, nails, and food! The sachets were rather small, but at least they gave us one extra to kind of make up for that. I can imagine some people not being happy about it though.
I reckon for the price, the You Beauty September 2016 box has been another really good value for money box!
