Welcome back to another Lip Monthly subscription bag post! If you haven’t read my previous Lip Monthly posts, this post gives you all the information you need about cost and how it all works.
In the October bag, we received:
J Cat Beauty Lipstick in Auburn (FL120)
I have never heard of this brand before (although that happens quite a bit with this service as obviously they are American brands). I would describe the finish of this lipstick as a creamy satin/matte. It’s quite moisturising and doesn’t dry out the lips. It’s quite a unique colour – sort of a really dark, reddish nude. It’s quite flattering and would probably suit a lot of skin colours. As it’s so cheap, I assume it’s from a US drugstore brand.
Lord & Berry Crayon Lipstick in Sensuel
Yay! I was so happy to see this in the bag. I’ve got quite a little collection of Lord & Berry Lip Crayons now and I absolutely love them. They’re matte without being drying and they last SO well on the lips! This one is a gorgeous velvety red, really deep with a tiny hint of berry. It will be perfect for autumn and winter. Really pleased with this! I would definitely recommend them if you’re interested in trying out a matte lip look.
Hikari Lip Crayon in Mandarin
I have used a couple of Hikari products in the last year and they’ve been pretty nice. This is a glossy lip crayon in a gorgeous, vibrant coral colour. In the tube it looks like it’ll be very orange but is actually a really flattering shade. It’s probably more of a spring/summer colour but I’ll definitely use it! Really nice for when your lips need a break from matte products!
Pencil Me In Eyeliner in Green
I haven’t heard of this brand either but I’m assuming it’s another drugstore brand. This is a pencil eyeliner in a vivid emerald green colour, with a tiny hint of shimmer. It’s probably not a colour I would buy myself, but I actually like it more than I expected. I probably wouldn’t wear it as a traditional eyeliner, but would use it for a pop of colour at the outer edges of my eyes. It’s a pencil that you can sharpen (with a handy sharpener included as part of the lid) but is still fairly creamy.
