Hi guys! Hope you’re all good. I’ve had a pretty bad week healthwise this week, which is why there hasn’t been a post for a little while. That said, I’m just going to make this an unboxing of the Glossybox September 2016. I usually go into quite a lot of detail reviewing each product. Sadly, if I wait until I’m well enough to do that, it’ll be ages until I post! Hope you don’t mind! (Also if you’re not a regular reader, here’s why I’ve been unwell).

The September theme is about breathing new life into our routine, and into our products.
Glossybox September 2016 – Contents
I think this is my replacement palette after Glossybox sent everyone the wrong palette choices out last month. I’m guessing I chose this palette last month, which is a bit strange as I already have it! I guess I had brain fog that day haha. It’s a gorgeous palette though, with amazing pigmentation given the £4 price tag! The gold is absolutely stunning on the eyes.
I’ll probably keep this and give it to another makeup lover 🙂
I LOVE sheet masks, but apparently these hydrogel masks are set to be their next-gen replacement! Made of stickier material, they have the ability to hold in more moisture. This mask contains Jericho Rose extracts, which help moisture retention in the skin.
I use a face mask literally every week, so I can’t wait to use this one!
This was a little bonus sample included in our boxes – it’s not on the information sheets. As I said, I love face masks so a second mask is great for me! This is one of a range of masks created by The Body Shop, for different skin concerns. Luckily, I got the Purifying Glow Mask, so hopefully it’ll help me with my spotty skin!
Soooo I love lip balms even more than I love face masks! I am an owner of a set of permanently dry lips and it drives me crazy. I am pretty much on a constant mission to find a lip balm that actually helps. My favourite to date is the Carmex cream one, or the classic Carmex with cherry.
Infused with shea butter, pomegranate, rose hip and vitamin E, this lip blam helps protect and restore lips. I can’t wait to try it, but have so many on the go at the moment that it’ll have to wait!
If you’ve read pretty much any of my nails of the day posts, you’ll have seen me use this. It’s one of my favourite top coats, as it keeps nails from chipping for ages and is nice and glossy! I was excited to receive a nice, fresh bottle. Especially since they’ve blinged up the bottle lid, which is now all pretty and holographic 🙂
Woohoo, Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara! Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard the hype around this mascara. I’ve used it before and it’s definitely worth the buzz. Better than sex? Probably not (unless you’re having pretty boring sex) but it’s pretty damn good! It really lengthens and volumises your lashes VERY well. My only issue with it is that it always smudges under my eyes, which is really annoying. I tend to add a bit of extra powder in that area to stop it happening.
Maybe a bit dull, but we pretty much all use black kohl liners, so it’s a pretty safe bet for a beauty box! This is a very pigmented one, which glides on easily. You can smoke it out if you move pretty quickly before it sets. I have to say, I tested this one out pretty thoroughly! I was wearing it on a day when I was really poorly but had to go to a shop for something, when I wasn’t really well enough. I nearly fainted and it scared me so much I ended up crying hysterically! I am happy to report the eyeliner lasted through my tears and lots of eye wiping haha! And don’t worry, I’m fine now 🙂 It is a little hard to remove.
Glossybox September 2016 – The Verdict
I loved this box! I will use everything single thing in the box and it’s all stuff I would probably have chosen myself. It’s great to see a brand like Too Faced included in a UK box. I’m a happy bunny with my box! 😀
