Hola mi amigos! I am pretty late with my June Glossybox unboxing aren’t I? Sorry about that! I feel like I’m starting most posts with an apology these days haha, but is being a little unforgiving lately! For more details on how Glossybox works, their sub prices and a sign-up link see here.
Anyway, here’s what came in my June Glossybox:
June Glossybox 2016 Products
I usually try everything in my beauty subscription boxes so I can give you proper reviews but I haven’t been well enough this month, so I’ll only tell you about the things I’ve had chance to try out. The June Glossybox theme was of course ‘summer’.
I haven’t tried this one yet, but I had the exact same one in my April 2015 You Beauty Box! It is made from 100% pure “konjac dietary fibre”, which is apparently an Asian plant! It is described as extremely gentle, even suitable for use on new-born babies. It is meant to be good for deep cleansing and exfoliating, whilst also claiming to hydrate and moisturise the skin. One important thing to note is that you should replace it every 2-3 weeks!
I’m actually pretty glad I got this, as I managed to get sunburn despite rarely leaving the house!! I’m usually so careful so I don’t know how it happened but hopefully this after sun will help. It contains monoi (gardenia petals soaked in coconut oil…who knew?!) and Vitamin E. It’s paraben and silicone free. It also smells great – a light, tropical kind of scent!
This was the June bonus product – I’ve used this in the past and it’s a pretty nice hair mask. I’ll definitely use it at some point!
Woohoo! I was so chuffed to see these in my box! I got their Calming Face Mask in my December 2015 Glossybox and absolutely loved it. Their masks are pretty expensive so I probably wouldn’t buy them myself, but they’re great quality. These eye masks are soaked in serum and can help reduce puffiness and dark circles. We got two, which is pretty generous. Can’t wait to try them!
I’ve tried a couple of Emite products through Glossybox and they’re quite nice. I wasn’t that excited for this, as I tend to find double-duty lip and cheek products only work well on one or the other! After trying it, I don’t think I’d personally use it on my lips, as it’s a bit too subtle for me. It’s lovely on my cheeks though! It’s a non-greasy gel texture and blends in really nicely, leaving a lovely, natural flush to the cheeks. Great if you don’t want to pile on too many powder products in the summer! The top swatch on my hand is the tint blended in, and beneath that is a thick swatch to show you the colour more clearly.
Sun protection is doing the rounds in most recent beauty boxes! I’m quite happy to get it as it’s useful but I’m not one of those people who can get away with SPF 15. I’m so pale that if I’m going to be in the sun more than 30 minutes, I really need a factor 30. I like that this is non-greasy and easy to blend in. It might be a good one to pass to my husband as it’s suitable for those with prickly heat/sun allergies, which he gets pretty badly!
Price: £19.99 (ouch!)
Total box value: £58.55
I’m pretty happy with the June Glossybox – I’ll use everything except the Sun Protection Spray, but it won’t go to waste. At a total box value of £58.55, I’d say that was good value for money!
